Treasures of Tajikistan

The ancient Sarazm settlement was discovered in autumn 1976 by the archaeologist Abdullojon Isakov.  The monument is located 15km west of Panjikent and 45km east of Samarkand.  The original area of the uncovered settlement spread over an area of 130 hectares. 

Sari Hosor is located in one of Tajikistan’s mountainous beauty spots.  This marvellous example of Tajik nature is situated on the Vakhsh ridge,

Hulbuk is the former name of a city now called Kurban-Shaid, located 7km north-west of Vose (Kulob region).

Garmchashma (hot spring) is located in the middle section of the river of the same name (the right tributary of the Panj River)

Ancient Panjikent is unique in that none of the area has been built over or destroyed to make room for farming. 

There are many places in the world where nature shows its incredible beauty, but it would be hard to find a place like Haftkul Valley

30km out of Dushanbe (4-5km from the town of Hisor) is one of Tajikistan’s most well-known sights – the Hisor historical and cultural reserve.
